A custom feature wall for a private residence in Cebu

Not every project is a 40-meter corporate install. Some of our favorite work happens in family homes — like this dining room feature wall we printed for a private residence in Cebu earlier this year.

The brief. The homeowners had recently renovated their dining space and wanted one wall to feel special — something personal rather than off-the-shelf wallpaper. They love the Cebu coastline, so we proposed a custom tropical mural: soft morning light over the sea, framed by coconut palms and native flowering plants.

The design process. Our studio created three concept directions from their reference photos and a site visit. They chose the softest of the three, and we spent a week refining the palette to complement their furniture — warm neutrals in the room meant the mural's greens and blues needed to stay muted rather than saturated. Because everything is digital, revisions like this cost days, not weeks.

Wall prep. The wall was smooth, newly plastered concrete — close to ideal. We cleaned the surface, checked moisture levels, and masked the adjacent walls and ceiling. Total prep time: about an hour.

The print. The full 4-meter design printed in just under three hours. The family watched the image emerge pass by pass — the horizon line first, then the water, then the palms. There were no fumes and no wet paint, so the room never had to be vacated.

The result. By dinner time, the dining room had a view. What the homeowners tell us they love most is the detail: individual palm fronds and flower petals that would have taken a hand-painter days to render, printed with photographic precision.

Residential feature walls are among our fastest, most affordable projects — most single-wall installs complete in half a day, and pricing starts well below what a commissioned hand-painted mural of the same size would cost.
